Apologies for the Temporary Loss of our Website
On Friday 11th April 2008, it was brought to our attention that this website had disappeared from the Web. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to contact our Webhost until the following Monday and couldn't get any kind of sensible answer from them as to what had happened. All we could ascertain was that Pipex Dial - our Webhost - had suddenly, and without telling us, decided to cancel our webspace. Through the week we eventually discovered that Pipex were no longer offering a Webhost facility and that we would have to change provider. Timing is everything in these things and I was booked to fly out on Friday 18th April with my family for a week in Fuerteventura, Jane had to fly to the USA to cover Top Gun and we were unable to deal with the problems for over a week. We managed to pick it all up again on Monday 28th April and, eventually, here we are back again.
So, apologies one and all. Beyond our control and all that stuff but at least we can now pick up the threads and update this new site with all the good things to come at Wings & Wheels 2008. Welcome back!!
Wings & Wheels 2008 Beckons
As we enter one of the slacker times of the modelling year, it is good to know that there is much to look forward to in the coming months. Wings & Wheels 2008 promises to be one of the best yet with commitments from some of the biggest, most spectacular models and the most gifted pilots from all over the UK and even further afield. We are delighted to be able to welcome Les Eagle to the team for 2008. Les will be heading up the flight-line team so you can be assured of an excellent display programme as well as a massive trade presence and all the other attractions that have made Wings & Wheels such an important show for modellers all over Europe.
Links to traffic reports and weather. We always have a considerable number of telephone calls just before the show each year asking us about weather and road conditions. For your convenience we are pleased to offer links to the UK Met. Office for local weather conditions and forecasts in Harlow and to the Highways Agency for news on local road conditions and known road projects taking place around the M11. Another useful resource for up to date road traffic reports has been brought to our attention. Frixo gives a constantly updated picture of road systems throughout England. Hopefully these will enable you to check up as the show draws near in order to plan your best journey.

We will be bringing you all sorts of information to help make the most of your weekend at Wings & Wheels. For example, we will be bringing you local accommodation lists as well as details on camping prices and facilities on the airfield. If you are reading this in total bewilderment, then try clicking here to take you to the web site of the British Model Flying Association - the BMFA. You will find useful links to all manner of other sites from here, no matter what your modelling interests.
